Why Hikers, and most of us Get Fat

I read a very interesting article in Appalachian Trailway News entitled Why Hikers Get Fat. The information in this piece is relevent to everyone trying to control his/her weight. Charles Duane has investigated why long-distance hikers gain weight after completing an extensive hike. He himself was in the best shape of his life after a thru-hike on the Appalachian Trail. And soon thereafter began gaining weight at the rate of 1/2 lb. a day on the diet he had been eating before his long hike. After doing considerable research he teaches us what to eat and what to avoid. Read it and cheer. This article really helps if you want to control your weight.
