I read a lot and since I also like to conserve and accumulate less rather than more, I use my Queens Library system whenever possible. But I can't just go into my local branch and find what I want. It's rarely there. So I go on line to check the availability and location of the book I am seeking. I make a phone call to the nearest branch that has my book and they will hold it for me for several days until I get there to pick it up. Since I don't own the book I keep an anecdotal log of what I have read as a record. Recent books I have read and enjoyed are: 1. The # 1 Ladies Detective Agency and 2. Tears of the Giraffe, both by Alexander McCall Smith 3. The Man in the Basement by Walter Mosley 4. The Body by Hanif Kureishi.
