There are many reasons for us to reduce consumption of oil and gasoline. This weekend we heard from Bob Woodward (Plan of Attack) that the Saudis plan to manipulate our election by sharply reducing the price of gasoline in the Fall so that the economy looks stronger and G. Bush can win the election. (the October surprise?). What are we waiting for? Why don't we start a grass roots movement to reduce our consumption of gasoline NOW? Show that we cannot be manipulated. If we use less the oil producing nations have less of a hold on us. We become less dependent on them and can control our own destinies (election). If we use less we also polute less and have cleaner air which our leaders are not interested in providing for us. And finally, if we use less and perhaps walk more we will be healthier.
