We had a chance to confront a "proud" Hummer owner today. As we were approaching a diner we saw a Hummer near the entrance blocked in. We thought it might belong to one of the owners and decided that we would not eat there if that was the case. The place was quite crowded and I asked the hostess who owns the Hummer. She called out to the chief and he proudly raised two thumbs up with pride. We loudly stated that we could not eat at the establishment because the car is a disgrace and stormed out. He followed us out but had no words to our dismay over his possession of this monster of a car and rushed back into the diner without an answer. Young men are dying in Iraq so that he can fuel this obscene gas guzzler. Global Exchange is a good source of information about how much damage these cars are doing to our environment. Take a look.
